How do I return an item?

Return Policy

With returns for “refund only,” there is a 15% restocking fee when you are refunded. If an item shipped for free, the 85% credit returned to the customer will be less the actual shipping cost of the item incurred by BraceItBetter. In this case the customer would be responsible for shipping the product back themselves by whatever shipping method they prefer (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, etc.).

If you are exchanging a damaged/non-working item, your restocking fee is waived and we will provide a shipping label for the exchange of the first item.

If you are exchanging for a different product we will waive the restocking fee if the item is still in new condition (you may try the product on but any wear and cleanliness issues could affect the restock fee if the item is deemed to be not resellable by the warehouse after inspection and repackaging to ensure that we would be able to restock the item or return the product to its original manufacturer). The customer is responsible for shipping the original product back to us in this particular kind of exchange.


*Please keep in mind that some specific products are not returnable after the package has been opened or worn due to health and safety regulations. These products will have that mentioned on their product page.


Your freight cost for returning the products may vary compared to the amount we originally charged you for shipping, due to the carrier you choose to use, fuel surcharges, etc. We strongly encourage you to obtain a tracking number and proof of shipping receipt as we will not be liable for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.


Follow the directions below for quickest returns

  1. Check to make sure that you are within 30 days of the order date to process your return. (if there was a backorder exceptions can be made)
  2. Check to make sure that your item is in “new” condition, meaning it has just been tried on and is not damaged in any way and that there is no cleanliness issues.
  3. Check to make sure that everything (including instruction manuals if applicable) that came in the original shipping box is returned. If you are missing something please let us know.
  4. Please e-mail service@braceitbetter.com to inform us you would like to return the item and include the reason for return and we will provide you with a RA# (Return Authorization #) that you will write on the outside of the shipping box.
  5. Re-package the product in the original box if possible and send it to: Brace it Better, in accordance with the return instructions that you receive by email, which will include the return address for shipping.
  6. Make sure to include your name, phone number, return authorization number (RA#) with the shipment.
